Avalue introduces new Display over Ethernet solution

TAIPEI, TAIWAN, November 11^th, 2015 – Avalue Technology Inc. (TAIEX: 3479-TW), a global embedded computing solution provider and an associate member of the Intel® Internet of Things Solutions Alliance, is unveiling new Display over Ethernet solution. Avalue delivers ideal Embedded DoE System with Tx Module – EMS-BYT-DOE and Touch Monitor with Rx Module – IPM-15W0, IPM-1001 and IPM-1201. Display Over Ethernet (DoE) is an ideal solution for long distance transmission application, which is integrated with rugged fanless system (Tx Module) and IP monitor (Rx Module). This innovative technology is transmission signal via Ethernet cable (CAT5e) from box system to monitor. Through DoE technology, Ethernet cable is combined with Powered LAN, HDMI, Audio and USB signal together and to supply power up to 25.5W through the Ethernet cable, the Ethernet cable can support up to 100 meters connectivity. Moreover, users can connect one-to-many displays over a Giga switch. The DoE solution is designed to fulfill the needs of the following markets: Food Industry, Automation Factory, Kitchen and outdoor multi-media display applications.

Avalue’s DoE solution including:

EMS-BYT-DOE, the fanless rugged display over Ethernet system, is powered by Intel® Celeron® J1900 4-core 2.0GHz CPU to provide low power consumption and high performance requirements. It supports one 204-pin DDR3L 1333MHz SO-DIMM with up to 8GB capacity. EMS-BYT-DOE offers a multiplicity of I/O involving 4 x USB 2.0, 1 x USB 3.0, 2 x COM ports, 1 x 2.5” drive bay, 1 x mSATA, 1 x PS2, 2 x mini PCIe slot, 1 x SIM card slot, 1 x 12-bit GPIO and 2 x Antenna mounting. EMS-BYT-DOE has dual Gigabit Ethernet: 2 x Intel® I211AT and dual displays including 1 x DoE Tx. Audio interface is provided with 1x Realtek ALC892 supports 5.1-CH. Supports a stable +12~+26V wide voltage input, with anti-interference capability and protects computer from overload short circuits.

IPM-15W0, the full flat stainless DoE monitor, is powered by Aspeed AST 1510 Rx module and supports onboard 1GB DDR2 memory. It is equipped with 15.6-inch WXGA (1366 x 768) projective capacitive multi touch DoE monitor. For the I/O port, IPM-15W0 has one waterproof RJ-45 connector, which is combined with Powered LAN, HDMI, Audio and USB signal together. It comes with optional waterproof DC in, USB port when user connects IPM-15W0 to Giga switch without Powered LAN function.

IPM-1001 and IPM-1201, the IP monitor for DoE solution, is powered by Aspeed AST 1510 Rx module and supports onboard 1GB DDR2 1066MHz memory. It is equipped with 10.4-inch (IPM-1001) and 12.1-inch (IPM-1201) XGA (1024 x 768) 5-wire resistive touch screen. For the I/O port, IPM-1001 and IPM-1201 come with 1 x RJ-45 which support Powered LAN, HDMI and USB over IP Rx Module. Supports a stable +12~+26V wide voltage input.
